Sunday, January 8, 2012So a new year begins... who knows what this one will have in store for me. Not wasting any time, here's the first design of the new year. Was asked by The TonTons to create them a design they could use for a band shirt. Being that these guys and lady are local and that they're music rocks, I was honored to come up with something for 'em. They loved the design so I banged out a run of 30 shirts for them to take to Austin.
And for the first show of the year, MegaHost Gallery and Houston Fixed Gear have joined forces to bring you ALWAYS ON MY MIND. Last year I had the opportunity to paint a large mural which was showcased at the opening of the new location for HFG. This year they are at it again with an awesome lineup of artist which will be showing new work dealing with bicycle culture. Im pretty stoked bout this event.
I will be releasing a new print based on the flyer which I came up with for the show. More info as the event gets closer.
Monday, October 24, 2011Once again, Halloween is just around the corner, and you know what that means? DOMY'S Monster Show 6! The lineup is pretty huge, and I got to sneak peak a few other artists' work... You guys are really gonna enjoy this year's show.
Below are a few shots of what I came up with.
Six Degrees. 2011, 2 color silkscreen on 140 lb. card stock. edition of 3. 9" x 12o"
An extra 50 on newsprint should be suffice for the streets.
Recently finished up a commission I was working on for a while. More pictures of the final product coming soon.
Tuesday, October 11, 2011Finally got some flicks of my pieces from the Plexi Glass Show which was held at Black Swan Studios. Much thanks to Ann Brooks for making this event happen and James Beard from Vroom Press for all his awesome work. Im really impressed in how the finished product turned out. Very clean and polished... Below is MF Doom. 2011. screen print on plexiglass. 23.5" x 14.5"
Here is another version of Second Chance. also screen print on plexiglass, but with acrylics painted on the backside. 12.5" x 30"
Drove by this spot so many times that I couldn't drive by once more without puttin' up work. Plus I remember the days of buying a hamburger with an eggroll on the side. Memories...
Sorry for the shitty cell phone picture but I had to snap it. Found near one of the local bars. Makes me blush a bit...
Tuesday, September 6, 2011Been needing to catch up on my postings, not sure where to start so here goes. Finally got up and out of the lab and put up some of the newer prints. Lost in Time, 2011. 2 color screen print on newsprint. 16" x 20". I also have an edition of 8, signed and numbered on 140lb white paper.
Decorus Exitium, 2011. acrylic on newsprint 24" x 24" Strictly for the streets.
Photos courtesy of o texano on Flickr. Thanks a bunch dude...
Been working on a commission for a really cool couple. Here's a sneak peak of part of their hallway.
These people must really care 'bout their local newspaper rack.
Friday, April 22, 2011Since the film, work has been steady, keeping my plate full. Squeezing in time for the streets anywhere I can find it. The block below is from a night right after STICK 'EM UP. Never got a chance to document it.
Much thanks to Reiswig Photography for the flicks. Always coming thru...
Got the opportunity to work with the guys over at Black Swan Screen Printing helping them "decorate" their new studio. Their grand opening is on the 28th, make sure and stop by and check out the cool things these guys are doing.
Friday, April 8, 2011What an awesome turnout and response to STICK 'EM UP. A huge congrats to PR!MO and crew on the final product. And I'm pretty sure for as much as I've heard people talking, texting, tweeting, etc, everyone seemed to really enjoy the film.
Thanks to David Elizondo for the shot and also for his help in the film.
Here's a link to a slideshow from the guys over at the Houston Press
And don't forget tonite, "You're in hell here with me" over at 901 Richmond. Both Eyesore and Adrian Landon Brooks have been working hard for this show. Got a sneak peak yesterday and you guys are in for an awesome time.
Sunday, April 3, 2011The opening was a huge success! Lots of people, drinks, and hair products. Much thanks to Dionysus and Ghost Town Artworks for hosting and organizing the opening. Always a big thanks to everyone for the support! See more photos here, thanks to Marco Torres.
Below is one of my newer pieces.
Rights of Man. 2011. acrylic on canvas. 43" x 59
Hit up the Del show at Fitz later that night. Awesome perfomance, he did a little of everything, even some Gorillaz...
Came across this pamphlet and was reminded the premiere of STICK 'EM UP is this Thursday at the River Oaks Theatre. Hope you got your tickets, cause I know they went fast.
Tuesday, March 29, 2011A well needed break from the chaos.
Back to the daily grind.
Finished up a new print. Ressurection. 2011. acrylic on paper and newsprint. 18" x 24". But I'll have one or two printed on found signs at the opening.
Wrapping up my work for this Friday. Here's another sneak peak of a new piece.
Hope everyone can make it out and MAYBE I'll see you there...
Monday, March 7, 2011As was mentioned before in the previous post, here's the info for the April 1st opening at Dionysus. Should be a pretty interesting show since I've never hung work in a salon before. I've been to a couple openings there already and the place transforms nicely... Much thanks to GTA and Dionysus for hosting the event.
Got the MF Doom poster gig for Free Press Summer Fest 3. Really excited about this, seeming as he is one of my favorite rappers. Below is a teaser of one of the new pieces I'm workin on.
Picked up a cool shortcut from homie of mine Give Up. Straight from the Biggie pad. Make sure and peep out his site. This man is never not workin'...
The streets are calling...
Tuesday, February 22, 2011Lots happening since the opening at Houston Fixed Gear. Where to start? First off, good friend of mine Bomit is opening his new shop, STREET ART POP UP! This unique concept will combine a gallery space featuring artwork produced by established street artists only with a physical storefront that carries art supplies, collectible toys, posters, clothing, etc. The opening will be on March 4th in LA, with the exact location to be revealed the day of the event. Below are some goodies I shipped over to him for the opening.
So if you're in the LA area make sure and peep out the opening March 4th. The list of artist involved is pretty amazing... BECCA, BIGFOOT, BIAFRA INC, BOMIT, BRANDED, CAT CULT, D*FACE, DICK CHICKEN, RON ENGLISH, EYESORE, SHEPARD FAIREY, FARO, FAUST, GAIA, GIVE UP, GONZO247, LUDO, MILDRED, SWEET TOOF, THEORY PROPAGANDA CAMPAIGN, VISUAL NARCOTICS: 20MG to name a few.
Back here to Houston, got a few shows lined up in the next couple months. The first being on April 1st at the Dionysus Salon, located at 3201 Louisiana Street #105, Houston, TX 77006. More info as the show nears.
Stick 'Em Up will finally be showing, one nite only at the River Oaks Theatre on April 7, 2011. Only 250 tickets will be available for this showing so don't sleep on it. Click here to get yours.
Made a little appearance in Houston Modern Luxury magazine thanks to the mural I painted at Houston Fixed Gear. Its on page 38 if you happen to come across one.
Tuesday, February 1 , 2011So the opening was this past weekend... pretty speechless 'bout the night. Lots of heads, I mean lots! Much thanks to all that showed up and also everyone for helping make this opening a "grand" event.
Photos courtesy of David Elizondo and Reiswig Photography.
And once again thanks to Critical Mass for rolling up with the party. Always a pleasure seeing so many bikes.
Necessary Evil. 2010. mixed media on canvas. 60" x 72" and below is the mural I did for Houston Fixed Gear. It measured bout 12 ft tall by 20 ft wide. Spent a good amount of time working on it, but i'm really happy with the finished product.
I put money on the cops showing up. Other than asking for the music to be turned down a bit, they were pretty cool.
Or they were entranced by Rosi's style. Regardless, the night was a success and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves... Now back to work.
Friday, January 28, 2011Put the finishin' touches on the mural last nite and got all the work hung. Pretty stoked with the final look of the shop. Much thanks to everyone who helped here in the last few days. You know who you are. So once again, its tonight at the new Houston Fixed Gear, 2309 Dunlavy from 7 - 10 PM.
Printed 160 something of these badboys. Figured it be a good souvenir. If you come across one, it's yours.
I'm amazed in how much the shop came together in the last couple days. I think everyone's in for a treat. Hope ya'll enjoy...
Saturday, January 15, 2011Had the opportunity to hang at El Rincon Social on the East Side for the Piece by Piece artshow. These guys have a pretty rad spot with plenty of room to house lots of work, plus entertainment and even a vegetarian tamale vendor(even though I love meat).Below is the piece I hung up for the festivities.
Spotted in the Blue Lagoon Juice Bar in Amsterdam. Right up by the surveillance camera and the smoking paraphernalia... funny.
As mentioned in the previous post, here's the flyers for the Grand Opening of the new Houston Fixed Gear shop were I will be showing my newest work as well as revealing a large suprise...
Much thanks to Rosi at Houston Fixed Gear for putting together this event and giving me the chance to show.
Here's a very small sneak peak of my latest work.
Hope everyone can make it out to the opening. From what I heard it should be a pretty entertaining event. Guess we shall see...
Wednesday, January 5, 2011The new year is already starting off to a fast pace, but I ain't complaining. Was given a call by Eyesore telling me I should pick up this book. That I might find it interesting...
STICKERS: From Punk Rock to Contemporary Art is a book compiled of approximately 4000 stickers from counterculture to politics. Regardless, I was pretty stoked to find out a few of my stickers had made the publishing.
Its pretty funny that I remember where some of these were peeled from... San Francisco, I miss ya.
Also made a little appearance in a Houston Press article bout Slim Thug. Guess Slim is a supporter of Better Living Thru Vandalism. Shortly after this article the panel which held that print was "carefully" removed.
I will be showing new works at the Grand opening of the new HoustonFixed Gear shop on Friday, January 28th, from 7 - 10pm. A little surpise will be in store for the opening. More info to come soon...
Monday, December 20, 2010Finished up another piece in the studio. Working on getting a show together to be able to display the pieces made in the last couple months. Below is a sneak peak before its completion
Couple of friends of mine decided to throw a VS party. This one was The Cure vs. The Smiths... Here's the print I came with for the show. Also printed up a limited run of t-shirts. If interested contact me.
This is why we don't have nice things...
Decided to print up one more design before the end of the year. Twenty10 is hand printed with water-based ink on white, 100% ring-spun cotton t-shirts. Going for $22, you can find 'em in the shop section at the bottom of the site.

Thanks to a few individuals(you know who you are), I'm back to my old bad habits again.
Emergency after emergency...
Sunday, November 14, 2010Not sure who's whip or where the hell I was when I came across these flyers from my show at Gaslight a few months back. But shit, at least they're gettin' put to good use.
While driving thru Bryan, Texas I came across this little building. If you keep you're eye out, they're everywhere...
Poison and more poison.
Fun while it lasted...
Monday, November 1, 2010While out and about, I got lucky and came across the destruction of a grafitti landmark. This haunted house has been around for as long as I can remember coming downtown. Everyone from Nekst, Give Up, to Obey have had their way with this building. Kind of a bummer to see it go.
The Monsters Show 5 was a blast! Below is the piece I turned in. Been experimenting with some different techniques. Pretty stoked bout were this is taking me.
Lost a close friend this weekend. Doesn't seem real... Trust me kid, you will never be forgotten. You touched many a people throughout your journey. RIP Josh "FUNK" White.
Thursday, October 28, 2010Monster Show 5 is just a few days away. Below is the flyer with all the info. Looking at the line up... should be a really rad show.
Also dropped off these 2010 packets at Domy, which include an 18 x 24" print, a few stickers and a button. If interested swing by Domy on Westhiemer or get em here in the shop section.
Somewhere in the mess...
Saturday, October 9, 2010The all-seeing eye or Eye of Providence has always been an image I have admired... too powerful of an image that it was impossible to not use for this design.
Got a set complete on a bit larger format and didnt hesitate to put them to the streets. Thanks to David Elizondo for the flicks.
Really curious how long they're gonna let this building last. Seems like everyday something new appears on it.
Out with the old and in with the new.
With that said, I've been working on a set of experimental paintings. Below is a little teaser. More on these later.
The all-seeing eye shirt is available in the shop section of the site, but will also be available this Friday at the Stay Up book release/art show @ War'hous Gallery. Its a limited edition run so get yours while they're around.
Sunday, September 26, 2010Got the opportunity to use the facilities over at Black Swan screen printing studios and finished up a limited edition run of my newest design. Hand-screen printed, with environmentally-friendly, waterbased inks on organic t-shirts. 2 color, numbered edition of 40. Thank you Ann!

Friday, September 17, 2010Good buddy of mine and awesome photographer, David Elizondo has been documenting street art in Houston for a while now. He's went out with lots of local artist and gotten some interesting shots of them doing work. This past week I hooked up with him to get a peak of the proof for his book, Stay up - Houston Street Art. Pretty fucking rad! Bout time some of Houston's street artist got featured in a book.
One more proof and if all goes well, it should be available next month. Below is a shot I snuck from a couple pages of my section...
There's word of a release show that will feature work from all of the artist in the book. More on that when I find out.
Thursday, September 9, 2010Bad Brains... man have they been around for a minute. Since the guys are coming to town next month for Ghoulsfest, I was asked to come up with a poster design. Didn't have to ask me twice. Playing on the day before Halloween, here's a screenshot of what I came up with. Poster should be out soon.

Saturday, August 14, 2010Here's a flick from last weekend at Blueline during White Linen Nights.
And below is the result of someone asking me to do a self portrait.
Wednesday, August 4, 2010Got the opportunity to work with Black Swan Screen Printing Studio, and print up the Atari Teenage Riot poster I designed. This studio was opened about a year ago, with the premise of making a print studio for artist by artist. If ya haven't been by yet, make sure and pay Ann a visit.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010Quantity over quality.
Came up on a crapload of vinyl letters and numbers. Been tryin' to come up with clever ways to make them last. So far so good...
The translucent sticker paper is starting to become my favorite. Great adhesive, waterproof and the ink sticks like a champ.
A sneak peak to a new painting I finished up...
Friday, May 7, 2010Was asked by a friend to design a tour poster for the Coughee Brothaz and Devin the Dude tour. Being a big fan of these guys, coming up with something for them was pretty easy. Thanks to the guys at Underbelly Printing for sending this flick.
Finally got a chance to flick and put up some new products from the DESPERATE TIMES show. Below is my latest shirt, Second Chance is hand screenprinted on American Apparel shirts, sizes S, M & L on black.
Since this candle was such a hit at the show, I've decided to keep them around for a while. So far I have them on white and green candles. but might try to find a few different colors for variety. If interested, both the shirt and candle can be found in the shop section of the site.
Spotted somewhere in Brazil...

I poked my head in for a bit and it seemed to be some good times. Thanks a bunch to Christina and all her peeps at Gaslight, Lone Star, and everyone that came thru to support. More shots from the show to come in the next couple of days.

Saturday, March 13, 2010Spring Break! Been meaning to hook up with the guys for some more filming for the documentary, so went out last nite with Primo from Stick 'Em Up, David Elizondo and homie of mine Shannon Reiswig. Covered some ground and was able to put up some new work. Here's a few shots of the night thanks to David.
I'm not the only one spending lots of time in the studio...
draw, draw, and draw
Inspired by Basquiat's scrawlings he did in the 80's throughout New York, I've decided to leave my little mark in a different form than posters...
Tuesday, March 2, 2010Been documenting some older work and updated the shop with prints and other goods. Told myself I'd do a better job of keeping the site fresh. Here's one of the prints I missed...
Untitled. screenprint on newsprint. 24" x 36". numbered edition of 50. As I mentioned in the previous post, finally sat down with Christina over at Gaslight Gallery, and squared out the details for a solo show.

Putting in time for maintenance...
Hate and
more hate.
Friday, February 19, 2010Close homie of mine, Chris Meshak contacted me 'bout making him a flyer for his reggae night on Tuesdays at Mango's. Based on a Robodan design, I quickly came up with this. Scoop up a Free Press and find it near the end of the paper.
Took a nice little stroll through our dreary downtown...
Came across these stickers I printed on transparent sticker paper from a few months back. Glad to see they're holding up good.
Tools came in the mail...
Saturday, February 13, 2010Back from break, Not much time on the streets, instead locked up in the lab working. This should be a long post, so here goes. Forcing myself to work with different mediums, this time the pencil ...
I figure working with whatever medium I decide on will bring a new influence to my designs for prints.
Got asked by a good homie of mine Shelby Hohl, from the Free Press, to design a poster for one of the headlining acts at SummerFest this year. Pretty excited bout this project, but my lips are sealed on who it is. Here's a screenshot of the work in progress.
Went out a few weeks back and was lucky to get a few shots from some spots that didn't hang around long. Thanks to mata-leão for the photos.
FUCK! Karma back at me...
Thursday, December 24, 2009Pretty good turnout at SuckerPunch's 9 x 9 artshow last weekend. Really appreciate how those guys put together shows and round up an eclectic mix of people. Below are some of the pieces from a few different artist.

Didn't expect it to run as long as it did. Kind of impressed...
On a better note, got hooked up with a last minute spot in the 9x9 Artshow hosted at Suckerpunch Clothing.2609 Dunlavy Houston, TX 77006. Each artist is to create 3 pieces on 9x9 inch canvases.

Wednesday, September 30, 2009Really feeling the effects of not having internet at my fingertips all the time. So I gots to take advantage of the times it's given to me. Not much to talk bout other than the group show coming up with EYESORE and Give Up. Really excited to show with both of them and I'm pretty sure this will be an interesting show to say the least.
Not really trying to spoil the surprise, but you might come across a few new prints on the streets before seeing them at the show.
